This role playing game is one of the newest in the genre, focusing on complex action and next generation technology.

The setting is 1191 AD, and you play as Altair, an assassin who is focused on stopping the strife caused by the Third Crusade. The goal is to slay nine historical figures who are responsible for the Crusade. As the main character, your actions have real, demonstrated consequences in this living world.

You play in a realistic and immersive environment, which allows you to defeat your enemies anytime, anyplace, anywhere. You have the opportunity to fight realistically, using time-period weapons, and your opponents are defeated or are victorious based on your combat skill.

You move through the game almost as if you were living it. You can run through the crowd, climb up ladders, and blend into the shadows. You are given the opportunity to complete missions to gain rank and practice. People in the crowd may beg for money, try to pick your pockets, or pick fights with you for no reason. You have to maintain control and not come under too much scrutiny, less your larger mission be compromised.

The graphics in this game are stunning and you can move the character through 400 map points and 60 mini-quests throughout the course of the game.

This game may sometime be repetitive; but when you are in the mood for some stab 'em up kind of action, this is the game to play.

The game is available in PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming formats.
