Transformers Starscream
With the introduction of the Transformers movie in 2007 a whole new generation of children have been introduced to the world of Autobots and Decepticons. Along with the movie a whole new range of Transformer toys have been produced and released by Hasbro. In this particular article we will take a look at Transformers Starscream, who is a member of the group known as Decepticons and sworn enemies of the Autobots.
Starscream is second in command of the Decepticons after Megatron and is able to convert from robot in to F15 jet form. As well as being the fastest of all flying Transformers he was also one of the highest ranking warriors ever to come from their home planet. It is because of these abilities that Megatron chose to make him Air Commander in the Decepticons.
The character of Starscream in the Transformers movie as with the TV series can actually go into space and when returning to Earth can transform and morph so that his body has a protective shell around it. This shell then protects him from the heat that is caused as he returns to Earth and comes through the Earths atmosphere. Plus once back on Earth he is then able to easily transform into the shape of a fighter jet which will in turn allow him to achieve his goal of being able to eliminate all Autobots from this planet.
When it comes to this toy Hasbro have produced two different versions a mini one which will cost you around $5.00 and a much large version that will set you back around $10.00. Once this toy has been transformed into robot mode it stands at approximately 6 inches high.
As with all the new versions of Transformers toys that have been produced and are on sale following the release of the movie this year. Starscream Transformers toys are very easy for a person to change from vehicle into robot mode. The main difference with the latest version of this toy compared to its predecessor is that it now converts into an F22 Raptor Jet rather than an F15.
When still in F22 mode it comes with missile launches which once it has been converted into robot form these can be attached to its arms. But no matter when in vehicle or robot form the launchers still allow the firing of the missiles that they contain.
Unfortunately unlike other Transformers the Transformers Starscream toy does not allow as many different changes to take place when converting from vehicle into robot mode. But still it looks great in either set up and would be the ideal in any collection of these much sought after toys today.
