Of all the Transformers toys that you can now buy Scorponok is the second largest one available.  Transformers Scorponok which is a member of the Decepticons is only slightly taller than the one called Trypticon but is smaller than the Autobot called Fortress Maximus.

When this particular toy was first released the technical specifications for it were printed upside down on the packaging. This resulted in a completely inaccurate picture being provided of just what the toy was capable of doing. But even though newer versions included the details being placed on the package the correct way round they still not include the right statistics.

When first released although he was one of the biggest of all the Transformer toys available and really did look like a mean scorpion. Many children found that they could not get it to do what they wanted. But although it was one of the best crafted plastic beasts it did not easily transform into its robot form as many children would have like so sales soon begun to wane.

Yet with the release of the new movie so a new Transformers movie Scorponok was produced and released. As well as being able to transform from a menacing looking scorpion into a robot it also includes some other great features as well. These are as follows:-

1. When it robot mode it has a great pair of spinning and drilling pinchers.
2. Then when in scorpion mode it allows you to use the spring loaded stinger.

So of all the Transformers toys now available it is one of the most awesome you can own. A lot of these toys over time although brought for children will also be brought by toy collectors and in a number of years as long as they are well cared for and looked after will be worth a considerable sum of money in the future.

With the original toy the Scorponok was able to transform into three different modes. The first was as the Decepticon battle base and although it may have looked good it was actually very effective. Then if the child wanted to they could transform it from battle base mode into a big green scorpion whose legs moved as the child moved it across the floor. But unlike the other toys the original Scorponok was heavy to lift up and move around.

Then finally the Transformers Scorponok toy which first came on the market when the TV series was being shown could be converted into a Super Mega Beast Vehicle. This was probably the coolest feature of the toy and why so many children wanted it. When in this mode he actually had the capabilities to hold Autobot figures in its paws. So of all the toys in the Transformer range available both then and today it is one of the most versatile.
