Guitar Hero Xbox Controller
In a previous article we discussed the game Guitar Hero III for the XBox 360. In this article we will be taking a closer look at the Guitar Hero XBox controller. As you will soon discover the latest version of this particular controller is much improved and certainly a step in the right direction where games console controllers are concerned.
As with both the Wii and PlayStation 3 controllers for this game the XBox 360 version is based on a Les Paul Gibson style guitar. But as well as being able to use this one with the Guitar Hero III game a person can also use the XBox 360 Guitar Hero wireless guitar with Version 2 of the game.
Yet if you don't want to spend money on a new wireless controller for your XBox 360 as you already have the original version you used Version II of the game you can use this with Version III as well. So there is no need for you to go out and buy a new controller all you need to do is buy the latest version of the game instead.
Although if you happen to be someone who would like to experience the same kind of feeling you would get if you were playing on a large stage to a large audience then it may be wise to invest in the latest wireless controller for your XBox.
With the latest controller for this particular console you will notice that the layout of this guitar is very similar to that of the PlayStation 2 version. The buttons on this particular one closely resemble the knobs you would find on a traditional guitar. These not only allow you to start the game but also select at which level or who you want to play against when online. Also one of the buttons allows you to select "Star Power" which provides you with the chance to increase your score by being able to get double points instead. Also the main start button provides you with the facility to be able to pause the game if and when you need to much more easily.
Because the buttons (start and select/back) ones have been increased in size this has meant that the d-pad and guide button on the XBox controller have been moved. They have been moved to a position on the guitar (one corner) which has helped to prevent people from hitting them accidentally when they are playing.
Plus the Guitar Hero XBox controller has a few new tricks in relation to the neck of it. The buttons are rounded and so much more comfortable and easy to play. Plus the neck can actually be removed through use of a locking mechanism on the back with a spring loaded switch. This thus makes it much easier to store the instrument when you are not using it.
