Guitar Hero Wii
Although Guitar Hero was initially developed for use with the PlayStation 2 it was not going to be much longer before the games company that developed it brought out a Guitar Hero Wii version. This game gives you the chance to take on some of the greatest guitar players the world has ever known, which in turn allows you to become one yourself.
But what is so different about the Red Octane/Activision version which has been developed for the Nintendo Wii over those already available for the PlayStation 2 and XBox 360? Well below we will take a look at just why if you have a Wii you may want to add this great game to your collection.
First we will take a look at what Guitar Hero is. This particular console game provides you with the chance to play along with some of the greatest guitar songs ever written. All you need to do in order to achieve this is by following what is written on the screen in front of you. As you follow what is in front of you, you will need to press your fingers on certain buttons (individual or multiple ones) that are found on the neck of the guitar that come in the games pack and strum with the other. The strumming you do must match up to a specific beat at all times whilst you are playing.
The more successfully you are able to play the guitar then the more points you earn. Yet if you come up with a bum note at any time your ears will soon hear it. But if may take you some time to get use to playing the guitar as it is not actually built or designed in the same way as traditional games consoles controllers are.
The main difference with the Guitar Hero for Wii including Guitar Hero 3 for Wii is that you need to plug in your Wii controller to it first. At the back of the guitar for this particular version of the game you will find a compartment and this is where your Wii controller gets inserted. Normally it only takes a few seconds to complete this task before you can start to try and play like the best including Jimi Hendrix.
Once the controller has been placed in to the compartment in the guitar provided then all you need to do is plug in the connector found at the base of your Wii controller. As soon as you have connected everything up all you need to do now is close the door on the compartment and you can soon start to play along to all your favorite classic and heavy rock guitar songs.
As for the Guitar Hero Wii guitar it is essentially the same as that provided for the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 games. In that it is shaped like a Les Paul Gibson one. But unlike the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 you can actually take the neck off of this one and you can even chance the face plates on it. So really if you want one that is completely different from the rest then why not consider the Wii version.
